Our Mission
Our Christian preschool offers the perfect balance of learning and play in a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for children.
Our caring teachers are dedicated to creating lifelong learners. Through the implementation of our Teaching Strategies curriculum, evidence of learning is found throughout our school.
We develop productive parent-teacher partnerships, keeping families involved and connected to what their children are learning and discovering.
We understand the Northern Virginia demographic and demand for quality care and the Vine & Branches team is committed to being the paragon for early childhood education, establishing and creating communicative and healthy relationships with families, and developing quality and inclusive individuals.
Our Curriculum
Our curriculum is the Teaching Strategies GOLD curriculum; an authentic, ongoing observational system for assessing children from birth through kindergarten.
It helps teachers to observe children in the context of everyday experiences, which is an effective way to learn what they know and can do. Teaching Strategies GOLD is based on 38 objectives for development and learning that include predictors of school success and are based on school readiness standards.
The objectives are aligned with the Common Core Standards, state early learning guidelines, and the Head Start Child Development and Early Learning Framework. These objectives are at the heart of the system; teachers use them to focus their observations as they gather information to make classroom decisions.
We follow best practices in early childhood education, brain development research, and the principles of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The combination of our activity implementation, curriculum execution, and nurturing approach helps us service Loudoun County families by preparing their children to thrive through Kindergarten as early as 6-weeks-old.
