Faith is the heart of who we are. Each day, our teachers, staff, and church family live out the love of Christ through worship, learning, service, and community. From our youngest learners to our oldest members, we’re rooted in Christ, growing together in His Word, and showing Him to the world.

Here are the top 10 ways we live out our faith at Vine & Branches Lutheran Church & Childcare in Aldie, Virginia:

• Chapel Wednesdays with Pastor Chris: Through stories, songs, and prayer, children learn about Jesus’ love each week with Pastor Chris in a way that’s joyful, interactive, and age-appropriate.
• Music Mondays with Ms. Amy: Our Band Leader and Music Teacher, Ms. Amy, brings faith to life through music. Children enjoy a fun blend of Bible-based songs, early childhood favorites, movement, and rhythm activities that teach musical concepts and praise at the same time.
• Blending Faith & Academics: Starting at age two, children experience the Spark curriculum—a Bible-based program that helps them see how God is part of their everyday world. We pair it with the Early Learning Matters curriculum, to support whole child development, nurture faith and give a strong foundation.
• Bible Stories Woven Throughout the Week: Our classrooms explore new Bible stories each week, and they often align with what children hear in Sunday morning Spark classes. This connection between church and childcare helps children remember, apply, and share God’s Word in meaningful ways.
• Daily Prayer and Gratitude: Prayer is a natural part of our day. Children pray with their teachers, give thanks before mealtimes, and are encouraged to talk to God in their own words.

• Monthly Devotions for Parents: Our Director, Ms. Lieschen, shares monthly devotional reflections written especially for parents. These short readings offer encouragement, Scripture, and perspective to support families in faith and daily life.
• Open Office Hours with Pastor Chris: Pastor holds open office hours to support church and childcare families and staff. Whether you have questions about faith and family, need pastoral counseling, or simply want someone to talk with, he’s here for you. (Tues: 1:30-3:30PM • Thurs: 9:30 -11:30AM)
• A Place to Worship, Grow, and Celebrate Milestones in Community: Because our church and childcare share one home, families have the option for a place to worship and celebrate faith milestones together—baptisms, first communion, confirmation, and more. Adults can also deepen their faith through weekly Grow Groups that offer time in God’s Word and connection with others. We host numerous favorite events throughout the year for the whole family, like Fall Fest, bonfires & movie nights, Parents’ Night Out, and a Summer Kick-Off party.
