🌞Faith & Fun in NoVA:
A Summer Family Activity Guide!
As our incredible summer camp weeks roll on at Vine & Branches Lutheran Church & Childcare in Aldie, Virginia, we’ve loved watching our campers laugh, play, and grow closer to God every single day. The energy at camp is contagious! But we also know that when the weekend hits or camp lets out for the day, you’re looking for meaningful ways to keep that faithful momentum going at home.
“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another…”
— Hebrews 10:24-25 ESV
To help you fill those open calendar spots, we’ve put together a list of some faith-based and family activities right here in northern Virginia – complete with dates, times, and direct website links so you can plan ahead!

As you can see, summer in Northern Virginia is filled with opportunities to learn, laugh, and live out your faith together as a family. Whether you’re hiking a quiet trail and noticing God’s creation, enjoying a free community concert, or simply sharing popcorn under the stars at an outdoor movie night, these moments become more than just “things to do”—they become the rhythms that shape our families and draw us closer to one another and to Christ.
At Vine & Branches Lutheran Church & Childcare, we love seeing our families carry the heart of camp beyond the classroom and into everyday life. So, as you plan your weeks ahead, we encourage you to pick a few of these local adventures, invite another family along, and make space for both rest and intentional connection.
And remember, your family is always welcome to join Vine & Branches Lutheran Church in worship every Sunday. We have services at 8:30 AM – A traditional service featuring hymns, pastoral robes, and the Divine Service liturgy and 10:30 AM – A contemporary service with a praise band while remaining rooted in the Divine Service liturgy. We encourage children to participate alongside their parents, but we also offer a free nursery for children ages 6 months through 4 years during our Sunday morning activities. May your summer be filled with wonder, worship, and plenty of memories that remind your family of God’s goodness in every season.
