The Joy of Christmas at Vine & Branches Lutheran Church & Childcare

 It’s the most wonderful time of the year! The end of the year may be fast approaching but that doesn’t mean things have been slowing down at Vine & Branches Lutheran Church & Childcare in Aldie, Virginia. From caroling, to children’s craft events, and giving back to our community through outreach, plenty has been happening at our campus. Plus, we’re seizing every opportunity to celebrate together, with spirited dress-up days, festive classroom parties, and joyful staff holiday dinners.

We started the joyous season with a heart-warming concert from our little carolers. Our students have been practicing their Christmas songs since the day after Thanksgiving and were so excited to share them! We were thrilled to see a fantastic turnout of parents and family members, all gathered to enjoy the delightful harmony of our students’ sweet voices. Their performance was precious, as they came together to wish us all a Merry Christmas through song. What an incredible job they did!

Led by our music teacher, Ms. Amy, our childcare students came together with the youth of our church to carol once again, this time for our congregation during Sunday worship. Following the service, our youth choir traveled to a nearby assisted living facility to spread cheer to the residents through song. And as a special treat, we handed out beautifully decorated stockings, each one lovingly filled with delightful goodies by our wonderful families, to every resident. What a joyful day of spreading love and music!

With our vocals truly warmed up, our youth joined adults from our congregation to go door-to-door in our community singing Christmas carols and giving out treat bags to our neighbors. It may have been cold, but that didn’t stop us from spreading joy and holiday cheer this season.

We also embraced the joy of giving this season through our Angel Tree. Vine & Branches families partnered with Cardinal Ridge Elementary School to support 24 families by donating gift cards allowing parents who are facing financial challenges to purchase gifts for their children. We are truly blessed to share the love of Christ with those in need and to help ensure every child experiences a joyful and memorable Christmas!

Vine & Branches also hosted a youth craft and movie night, where parents were able to drop off their children for a night of fun, food, crafts, and a movie. While the kids enjoyed themselves, parents were free to tackle their to-do lists or simply savor some well-deserved peace and quiet. The youth had a blast, and we hope the evening was both refreshing and restful for parents.

Our campus has been filled with Christmas cheer all month long! We turned up the festive fun with a 10-day spirit week of dress-up themes, a wonderful staff holiday dinner, and Christmas parties in every classroom. It’s been such a joy celebrating the season together and creating special memories with our community, but we’re not done yet!

We’re culminating our Christmas celebration by honoring the true meaning of the season—the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ—and you’re invited!

Join us for one of our candlelight Christmas Eve services. Our 5:00 PM contemporary service will feature our worship band and children’s choir—come hear our little carolers sing!

At 7:00 PM, we’ll gather for a traditional service filled with beloved hymns.
