Easter Fun at Vine & Branches: Services, Egg Hunts, Crafts, and More!

Easter Fun at Vine & Branches: Services, Egg Hunts, Crafts, and More!

Spring is here! We’re excited to celebrate Holy Week and Easter with a week full of fun, learning, and creativity at Vine & Branches Childcare as well as special services and events happening at our church.

Our teachers have planned engaging Easter-themed activities that will spark joy and curiosity in our little learners. Our church leaders have developed special moments throughout our weekly services to help us reflect on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Childcare Easter Activities All Week

Throughout the week leading up to Easter, our children will take part in various hands-on activities. They will create festive Easter crafts, explore Easter-themed sensory bins, and engage in fun discussions about the holiday. These activities not only bring excitement but also help children develop important fine motor and problem-solving skills. Because of Jesus’ resurrection, Easter is a time of joy, renewal, and togetherness, and we are thrilled to create lasting memories for our students. We can’t wait to see their excitement as they engage in these activities and celebrate the season with friends!

Special Worship Services

We will begin Holy Week with our special Palm Sunday services (April 13th). We invite you to join us for either our Traditional Service at 8:30AM or our Contemporary Service at 10:30AM. During the Contemporary Service, Vine & Branches Youth will lead a special palm processional featuring our new, handcrafted processional cross made by one of our members. Dr. Marty Conkling will deliver the sermon during both services.

On Good Friday (April 18th) we will have a special Tenebrae Service commemorating the sufferings and death of Christ at 7PM with readings, songs, and candles. The service will conclude with a dramatic slamming of the Bible as the church lights go dark.

Easter Sunday, April 20th, will feature three services. We will begin with a sunrise service at 6:30AM in the Vine & Branches parking lot. The Traditional Worship Service will follow at 8:30AM, with the Contemporary Worship Service at 10:30AM. We look forward to celebrating this special time with you.

Egg-citing Easter Egg Hunts!

The highlight of our Childcare Easter celebrations will be our Easter Egg Hunt on April 15th! This fun-filled event will take place during their school day on our beautiful school grounds, giving children the chance to run, search, and discover hidden treasures. Each child is encouraged to bring their own basket from home to collect eggs filled with small trinkets and stickers and they will enjoy an Easter cookie for Cookie Friday!

In addition, the church will be hosting an all-ages Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday April 20th at 10:00AM. Participants are asked to be at the starting line, ready to begin the hunt at 9:45AM. There will be treats, prizes, and an exciting opportunity to have your picture taken with our special guest – The Easter Bunny!

Stay tuned for photos and updates as we share the joy of Easter at Vine and Branches!
